Sustainable Nanodevice Design Lab
Our research team studies the physics and design of nanoscale devices using state-of-art quantum material simulations and physics-based device modelling. Our research is aimed to pave a way towards sustainable solid state device technology beyond the silicon era.
PhD Position Available
PhD scholarships positions are available. We are looking for motivated candidates with strong interests in the following topics:
(i) DFT simulations of nanoscale devices and heterostructure: Data driven approach (high throughput, machine learning, etc)
(ii) Ab initio simulations of 2D material computing devices beyond von Neumann architecture: Device designs and mechanisms
Interested candidates please contact PI Dr. Yee Sin Ang for more details. We apologize that only shortlisted candidates will receive a reply.
Visiting PhD Student (to be funded by CSC)
We are available to host Visiting PhD Students in our group under the China Scholarship Council (CSC) Scholarships. We are looking for motivated candidates with strong interests in the following topics:
DFT and/or NEGF simulations of nanoscale devices and heterostructure
Theory of electronic, transport and optical properties of 2D and topological materials
